My Guru Maṇdala

The one unifying Guru Tattva — pure Awareness itself — manifests as an intricate pattern, a Guru Maṇḍala, ensuring the perennial continuity of wisdom and spiritual blossoming in our lives.
Śri Dakṡiṇāmūrti - The Primordial Guru
Siva is this all-illuminating, unmoving and silent Guru Tattva; while Śakti unfolds it as 'Sampradāya' — the unbroken current of wisdom and nurturance; as 'Sādhvī' — wise and benevolent nurturance; and as 'Gurumaṇḍala' — the constellation of luminous visitations through whom wisdom shines. I have been blessed with many such divine visitations, and I take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge the Guru Maṇḍala that has illumined my life.
At the center of my Guru Maṇḍala stands Ādi Guru Dakṣiṇāmūrti, the luminous point of pure Awareness. Around him I honor the wisdom that has come through Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa in the Gītā, through Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, The Buddha, Ācārya Abhinavagupta, Śrī
Ramana Maharshi, Śrī Nisargadatta Maharaj, and Śrī J. Krishṇamūrti. I humbly bow down to each unique visitation through which this timeless light revealed Himself in my life. I also bow with gratitude to my grandparents and parents (particularly my mother, Smt. Premlatha Balasubramanian) – for their nurturance and upbringing, replete with profound religiousness and devotional sincerity.
In the present, I bow with gratitude to (Dr.) Śri Śaṅkara Bhagavadpāda, whose living current of wisdom has alchemized and accelerated my journey through the twin disciplines of Maitreya Amanaska Yoga and Jyotiṣa (Vedic Astrology).
To me, classical music/dance and Vedic chanting are not mere 'leisure activities' or 'skills', but integral components of my spiritual practice. I honor the acharyas who guide me in these sacred disciplines, as part of my Guru Maṇḍala.
Finally, I acknowledge that like all human beings, I too have known nurturing influences that eventually withered into disillusionment. I honour the Divine Guru even in this fading pattern — for testing, refining, and alchemizing my journey onwards.
